About the Author
A former horticulturalist with White Flower Farm, Charles W. G. Smith was also an instructor of vocational agriculture. He has written about gardening and environmental issues for over a decade. He is the author of Storey's The Big Book of Gardening Secrets, and also has written Nature Walks in the Berkshire Hills from first-hand knowledge gathered right outside his own front door--he lives in a log cabin in the western Berkshire region of Massachusetts.
