About the Author
Phillip Cribb is curator of the Orchid Herbarium at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He is the author of several books on orchids, including The Genus Paphiopedilum and, with co-author Ian Butterfield, The Genus Pleione, both in this series. He has traveled widely in connection with his work and has studied Cypripedium in the wild on several trips to China in the past 20 years.
