Editorial Reviews
From the Publisher
There is currently a new level of public and media interest in parks, gardens and the landscape in general, and a new awareness of the discipline that governs them all--landscape architecture. The landscape architects whose work reflects this new awareness show a creative synsthesis of imagination and formidable technical skills.
In the last three decades, contemporary Franch landscape architects have been at the forefront of new developments, acquiring an international reputation for excellence along the way. Their activities have incluced the restoration of historic gardens, creating new city parks, revitalizing suburbs, landscaping morotways and designing corporate parks or private gardens.
This beautifully illustrated book, which includes working drawings and site photographs, showcases the best of recent french landscape artchitecture, including work by Gilles Clement, Alexandre Chemetoff, Kathryn Gustafson, Jacques Simon and Pascal Cribier.
