About the Author

Richard Bird is an expert on gardening and plants whose many books include "'Fences and Hedges"', "'The Scented Garden"', "'The Kitchen Garden"', and "'Beds and Borders"' (all Ryland Peters and Small). He maintains a large garden at his 15th century cottage in southern England.
