About the Author
Caroline Zoob has no training in design and was thrown out of needlework class at elementary school. She didn't pick up a needle again until her mid-thirties, when friends started to have children and she wanted to welcome them into the world with something handmade. After qualifying as a lawyer, she decided she preferred sewing, and has since developed a following for her hand-embroidered creations fashioned from antique textiles. Her work appears regularly in interiors magazines and she has contributed to Country Living. She has also designed hand-painted tableware for Off the Wall Interiors. Caroline is inspired by children and folk art and by the garden of Leonard and Virginia Woolf, which she and her husband tend on behalf of the National Trust. Caroline Arber began her career as a fashion photographer. After having children of her own, she began photographing children, working on projects for Portfolio and Athena International. She now works mainly as an interiors photographer for magazines including Red, Homes and Gardens, and Country Living. For Ryland Peters and Small she has taken photographs for A Handful of Herbs, The Wedding Planner, and, most recently, Vintage Inspirations.
