Book Description
From Park Avenue to St. Petersburg, from the boulevards of Paris to the medinas of Morocco, metropolitan life bombards us with a million images, colors and sounds. A treasure trove of lavish photographs and inspiring text, City Living celebrates 25 outstanding homes that reflect the many different aspects of urban domestic design. The book opens with a look at traditional home s that artfully integrate old and new. Streamlined Sleek includes a range of pared-down modern dwellings, while Retro Redefined reflects the influential movement in architecture and interior design that has its roots in mid-20th-century style. The final section includes examples of industrial buildings converted into homes and of ultra-escapist living spaces based on rural themes.
