Book Description
Color is the most important decorative aspect for any room, but knowing which colors work together can be difficult. Whether you want a complete theme or simply wish to add a dash of color to an existing scheme, Vital Color is packed with inspirational ideas for introducing color into every room.

Joanna Copestick and Meryl Lloyd guide you through basic lessons in color theory and explore the fundamentals of color and light, space, texture, materials, proportion and paint, and show how different colors influence a room's atmosphere. Armed with this information you can now apply color to your home-walls, floors and furniture-to create just the right mood.

The book is organized into five main color groups-Linen, Paper and String; Chocolate, Amber and Silver; Ice Cream, Sherbet and Biscotti; Sea, Sky and Driftwood; and Red Wine and Roses. With inspiring large-scale photographs of whole rooms combined with guidance on incorporating soft furnishings and other accessories to add that indefinable finishing touch, there is a color scheme for every taste.

Vital Color is invaluable for home decorators, giving the confidence and know-how to transform any home with color. With 200 color photographs, useful color swatches and a directory of suppliers, you practically can't afford not to use Vital Color.
