This book is the first comprehensive study of Greek and Latin historiography from Constantine to the end of the sixth century AD. It aims to examine the development of late antique historiography, stressing chiefly the relations between pagan and Christian historians, their polemics but also their often neglected agreements. About the Author
Gabriele Marasco, is Professor of Roman History at Università della Tuscia. He published many books and studies on Hellenistic and Roman history, including a Commentary on Plutarch's Agis and Cleomenes (Rome, 1981) and Economia, commerci e politica nel Mediterraneo fra III e II sec.a.C., (Florence 1984).
