About the Author
Amy Spangler earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the Ohio State University and her master's degree in maternal and child health from the University of Florida. She is a Registered Nurse as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Amy has served as president of the International Lactation Consultant Association and chair of the United States Breastfeeding Committee. She is a member of the affiliate faculty at Emory University School of Nursing, a perinatal instructor at Northside Hospital, and the author of numerous publications. Amy currently serves as president of Amy's Babies, a small company that develops breastfeeding education materials for parents and professionals. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband. They have two sons.
