Tweens: What to expect from - and how to survive - your child's pre-teen years
Editorial Reviews
Book Description
This new book by child and family therapist, Andrea Clifford-Poston, provides an examination of the new phenomenon of children maturing earlier, both physically and psychologically. Gently guiding parents to an understanding of the differences between what she calls between-age and teenage behaviour, it demonstrates how the issues parents confront in their children's adolescence have roots in the between-age years. Packed with case studies from the author's own extensive experience, this book provides clear accounts of child development theories, guidance on management, and much more. Between the questions it asks and the answers it gives, this indispensable guide leaves plenty of space for parents to think their own thoughts and come up with their own solutions.
