About the Author
Debra Gilbert Rosenberg is a licensed clinical social worker and the mother of three children. Since earning her master's degree in 1980 from the University of Chicago, she has been a psychotherapist working with individuals and families. In addition, she develops and presents workshops and lectures on parenting issues and teaches sociology courses on the college level. For the past thirteen years she has been running a discussion/support group for new mothers. Rosenberg lives in Oak Park, Illinois, with her husband, Alan, and their children Jill, Lynn, and Mark.

Mary Susan Miller, Ph.D., is a specialist in Parent Education. She has written nine books on family issues and education, and has written a regular column for Ladies' Home Journal for seven years.
