About the Author
Dr. Gerald Newmark is a parent, educator, and behavioral scientist who has worked with schools and youth for more than 20 years. For 15 years he was a Human Factors Scientist with the System Development Corporation. Under a Ford Foundation grant, he co-directed a seven-year project to develop a model elementary school in Los Angeles city schools. He received a presidential citation for this work. He has consulted for, and served on the Boards of, numerous state and national private and public organizations. He is a member of the American Association of Humanistic Psychology.
