About the Author
Like countless other young boys, Miles McPherson always dreamed of becoming a professional football player. Unlike most children, however, Miles actually fulfilled that dream.

After four years at the University of New Haven, Miles was the first student to achieve All-American Football honors and be drafted into the NFL. Miles played defensive back for the San Diego Chargers from 1982 to 1985.

But life in the fast lane grew old quickly. In a single day, the Lord captured his heart and delivered Miles from drug abuse and an worldly life style. Before long, God began to show Miles his plan for his life. . .preaching the Gospel to the lost. . .especially to youth.

After finishing his career with the NFL, Miles joined the pastoral staff at Horizon Christian Fellowship in San Diego, California. As youth pastor, he coordinated and directed youth ministry for over 500 teens, including weekly Bible studies and Sunday youth services.

As his ministry at Horizon Christian Fellowship continued to grow, Miles Ahead Ministry was formed. Specifically designed to challenge and equip youth to apply practical biblical principles to their lives, Miles Ahead has been able to minister to hundreds of thousands of teens through evangelistic and motivational presentations at school assemblies, youth conferences, and church-related outreaches.
