About the Author
BRENDA L. TARSA, M.A., S.Psy.S., is a practicing school psychologist and team leader of the Behavior and Educational Strategies Team (B.E.S.T.) for the Mason-Lake Intermediate School District. As a positive behavior support consultant, she works with teachers on difficult discipline issues and is a brief family therapist for parents who have children with school-related difficulties. Along with other B.E.S.T. members, Brenda facilitates parenting workshops based upon the "Successful Parents, Successful Kids" model. She is a graduate of Lake Superior State University with a B.A. in psychology and of Central Michigan University with an M.A. in psychology and a Specialist degree in school psychological services.

LAURA R. LYONS, M.S.W., A.C.S.W., is a psychotherapist in private practice who specializes in family therapy. Prior to private practice, Laura worked in a variety of settings including an adolescent residential program, in community mental health, and in the schools. In the ten-plus years that Laura has been working with children and teens with behavioral problems, she has not found a more effective program than what is presented in this book. Laura is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a B.S. in education, and received her M.S.W. and School Social Work certification from the University of Michigan.
